Our History

Gripp, Inc. is a Midwestern manufacturer’s representative that sells, installs, and services environmental monitoring equipment for clients in the water and wastewater industry. For over 40 years, we have served cities and companies across the state of Indiana, as well as Central and Western Kentucky.

Jack Gripp started JC Gripp and Associates in 1971, and was among the original representatives of Isco, Inc. who manufactured some of the first automatic samplers for wastewater. Jack set the high standard of care for customers that has been a hallmark of the company ever since. In 1992, he handed over the day-to-day operations to his son, Doug Gripp, who then formed Gripp, Inc. Over the next two decades, Doug turned what had been a one person sales organization into a statewide powerhouse of design, installation, and service. During that time, Doug also married a Teledyne Isco rep from California; as a result, Judy Gripp brought her ten years’ of instrumentation sales and service experience to Gripp, Inc.

In 2013, upon the passing of her husband, Judy Gripp took over management of the company. Under her leadership, the company stabilized and grew. Today, customers are served well by a knowledgeable sales team, an experienced service team, an expanded back office team, and internal systems that support a high level of customer care.

Our team members have extensive product knowledge plus the field experience to design and support an instrumentation system that works. We provide accurate, real-time data to help you make decisions. All of our technicians have been trained by factory representatives of Teledyne Isco and are certified in confined space entry. In addition, we are a certified Woman-Owned Business Enterprise.

Gripp, Inc. is run by a team of dedicated people with deep expertise in technical sales, instrumentation installation and service, and office administration. Judy Gripp manages the day-to-day operations. Sharon Hodges is our office manager and handles in-house sales. Julie Tolliver assists Sharon, and also supports the sales and service teams. Matt ZurSchmiede and Keith Hicks interact with customers for technical sales. Service Manager: Clint Jones. Service team members are: Robert Lang, Montana Goens, Adam Herbort and Jeff Teter.


Judy Gripp leads the company with a focus on technical expertise and customer service. She believes that by improving the quality of life for her employees, she will also improve the quality of their work.

Customer Service

The Gripp Team consists of organized, precise, and highly responsible people with a commitment to customer service. Our goal is to have a knowledgeable person answer the phone who can provide assistance or will know how to get an answer to your questions.

Field Services

Our Field Services Technicians work to install, calibrate, maintain, and repair instruments, equipment, and systems used in water and wastewater management. With a focus on safety, we install samplers and flow meters, diagnose and solve technical problems in the field, and work with instrument panels. We deliver data, calibration, and other reports.
